Herman Peeren has been developing software since 1977 and has worked with many different programming languages and platforms. He loves the creative aspect of programming (“I like building new things”) and is very interested in the philosophical aspects of software design (“with a model you can better understand the world around you”). He studied computer science and has a strong background in Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Model Driven Engineering (MDE).
Since 2008 Joomla is his main family, his basic tribe. Software architecture has his special interest. Since November 2024 he is Joomla's documentation team lead.
